The caller Santiago made some of the best framing of the problem with the system I have heard in a long time. He completely dismantled Abe's old trope of lets show patience and continue to hope the democratic party will save us, perpetuating the fallacy that the system will work for all of us if we just continue to trust it; a system that was not created to help all of us in the first place.
Your afraid of civil war Abe? Again as Santiago points out, your doing everything you can to make sure that civil war does happen because you and the democratic centrist want to continue a system that has benefited you. Minorities and poor have been at war with this system for 100s of years; people are dying, and violence is happening. Its just not happening to you. I don't really blame you for supporting a system that keeps you safe, but what about the rest of us?
