Part 2:
Features an intro by my Mom Dodge aka Jeannette Ruth Foster, who was eight years old in 1938. And then--
The complete original 1938 Orson Welles Mercury Theater War Of The Worlds broadcast that fooled the entire United States and caused panic on Halloween night and led to Welles' 1940 film masterpiece, Citizen Kane with bonus audio featuring Orson Welles trying his best to explain the widespread reaction to his play the next morning, November 1st, 1938, a remembrance years later of the wild reactions to his landmark play from Welles, and a unique on-air meeting between the author of the original novel War Of The Worlds: H.G. Wells & Orson Welles. This spooky segment is dedicated to Victor Ives, longtime T.V. horror show host of Sinister Cinema on Saturday nights on KATU in Portland. Vic aired the War of The Worlds every Halloween night for years on KEX radio. Check out several Sinister Cinema examples on youtube.
Thanks to Vic for years of creepy silliness!
Part 3:
