It’s been a long, hellishly hot and smoky summer here in Portland. But it seems like fall has finally arrived. Along with the rain and cooler temperatures, we look forward, as we do every year, to the big holidays – Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Sukkot – and a few cherished seasonal traditions, like the annual Portland Book Festival. From its start back in 2005, when it was affectionately, and somewhat shortsightedly, known as Wordstock, the festival has grown into the biggest literary event in the Northwest and one of the largest in the country.
In what’s become another cherished annual tradition here on Jonesy, we welcome back one of our favorite guests, Festival Director Amanda Bullock, to help us navigate this year’s event. Amanda also directs Public Programs at Literary Arts here in Portland.
Hope to see you all there on November 5th!
