The Portland Police Bureau is considering gunshot detection technology to help address gun violence. Issues such as over-policing, civil liberties, and technology effectiveness have been raised by members of the community. The Portland Committee on Community Engaged Policing (PCCEP ) will have a town hall meeting on March 1 to hear people's views on the topic.
