We spend an hour or so sharing the music of the great Rita Lee, Brazil's Queen Of Rock, whose over five decade career began in the Tropicalia movement with Os Mutantes & led to pop stardom.
Her work in the first decade or so of her musical life is spotlighted in the first part of the program. Rita Lee died on May 8, 2023.
There's also music from bands who'll be playing live in Portland this week, a jazz break, & more.
