On this edition of Century: Systemic Racism in the Criminal Legal System.

Recently at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, the Fourth Annual Session of the International Independent Expert Mechanism to Advance Racial Justice and Equality in Law Enforcement held public consultations on systemic racism against Africans and people of African descent in the criminal legal system.

This week on Century of Lies we hear portions of those consultations, including presentations by Jerome Mangelinckx, Global Policy Manager at Penal Reform International; Emmanuel Achiri, Policy Advisor at the European Network Against Racism; Carolina Silva Portero, Legal Scholar and Consultant with the Afro-Latin American Research Institute; and Brandon J Buskey, Director of the Criminal Law Reform Project at the American Civil Liberties Union.
