Comments

I hopped in my car to head home from Beaverton around 10 pm tonight & luckily I didn't have a cd in my player at the time. Which meant my car stereo defaulted to the radio station I was last tuned to & lol & behold I heard a great R n B sounding song I had never heard before. I loved it immediatly. I believe right after that Prince's Purple Rain came on. I was now stuck on the station for the ride home. Obviously the station was Kboo & it was your setlist I was hearing. I've listened to Kboo for many years now (probably 15 or more) But for most of the time in my car I strictly listen to cd's. In fact the only 2 stations I programmed in my car were Kboo & Kmhd. I guess Kink as well. I gave up on the radio many moons ago, bored of commercials always cutting in, tired of hearing the same songs over & over again...so on on. But I always respected Kboo. It blew my mind a long time ago when I turned the station on late in the evening, midnight or later, & i heard songs being played with obscenities. I didn't think you could do that on radio. Anyhow, enough with my lengthy letter. Just wanted to say that once I heard your musical set in my car I loved it immediatly! A great mix of songs & I liked how all of your songs tied together with the theme of rain. Very Cool!! I'll be checking out your next set for sure. Thanks for the musical trip you took me on. You made me a believer in radio again.

I just wanted to write a little bit about the program on your station called Active Listening. I've been a long time listener of Kboo (16 years or so) & have always enjoyed the diversity of the programs offered. Commercial free radio is a beautiful thing. Commercials are pretty much why I stopped listening to radio many many years ago & the music being played was mostly garbage anyways. Well enough about that & onto the beautiful program Active Listening. So I caught my first listening on 1/10/13 & just recently heard the new set on 1/24/13. I was eagerly awaiting to hear the program again because I liked it so much the first time but funny enough I forgot when Thursday came back around & so I missed the first 30 minutes. I remember pulling in my driveway & realised "Oh man, Active Listening is on". I quickly turned my radio on in the car & I knew right away by the vibe of the music that it was indeed the program. I couldn't have fell into the set at a better time. It was a song that was singing vibrations of peace & love. I dug it. Then I remember it going into a french version of the disco song "I Will Survive". I had a smile on my face realising that the disco song still had the same emotions as the original. It sounded fun in French. On this set that night she had a guest musician on who was a middle eastern rapper & I was curious. I'm big into Rap music & was curious how it would be from another country. My ears are always open to new things so I went into it blindly. It was a great interview with the guy & heard a few of his songs. I really liked his song #Syria. So needless to say I finished the whole set in my car & relaxed to the tunes. So to wrap this thing up I just have to reiterate how much I enjoy this program!!! It truly made me a believer in radio again & now I look forward to hearing more and more great stuff, diverse stuff, positive stuff, worldly stuff.....Cool Stuff.
                                                                 Thanx
