Universal Basic Income and the politics of working for a living
Joe Clement reads Peter Frase's case against the assumption of wage-labor in both capitalism and market-socialist visions of a fucture economy. Frase argues for a universal basic income, explaining why it would more directly address the problems with wage-labor, make it more apparent what work needs to get done, and help dis-incentivize work only done for the sake of capital-accumulation.
