Ryan Meagher of Portland Jazz Composers Ensemble guests
Al Jarreau lit up the jazz scene nationally for over 50 years
before we lost him to heart trouble on February 12.
From 2 to 3 p.m.,
we'll feature his 1965 performance with George Duke, primitively recorded
at San Francisco's Half Note jazz club - before either found fame or fusion -
among others.
After the 3:30 jazz calendar,
Ryan Meagher will be our guest to showcase
the Portland Jazz Composers Ensemble's "Grasshopper" program.
