Kristin Wilson is chair of the anthropology department at Cabrillo College in Aptos, California. She is the author of Not Trying: Infertility, Childlessness and Ambivalence. I didn't have a choice in the matter. My daughter decided to stop nursing, all by herself, around one year. I was so sad but didn't push the issue and she was just fine with that!
