Here is the first episode of what I intend to be series of episodes, on which I play a selection of cover tunes for your listening pleasure.
Cover tunes have long been a favorite of mine. I love to hear a familiar song, sometimes done in an unfamiliar manner. I think cover tunes offer some insight into the influences of the bands that choose to perform or record them. They suggest the sort of music the band may have grown up with, or decide to listen to when they are not making music, but instead listening for personal enjoyment.
