On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 11.30 a.m. Joseph Gallivan interviews artist and professor Taravat Talepasand about the three student winners of the Arlene Schnitzer Visual Arts Prize. Professor Talepasand talks about the social practice work of Olivia DelGandio, who worked with old people on their memories, HG Garner, who drew and wrote a comic book, and Michelle Jackson, who depicts fat, queer women’s bodies, in paint, photography and felt. An exhibit of the winners’ works is on now at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art at PSU through April 26, 2025.
