International Women's Day (March 8th) is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. International Women's Day honors the work of the suffragettes, feminists, and pioneers who have fought for gender equality.
The first International Women's Day event was run in 1911, based on suffragettes campaigning for women's right to vote.
KBOO is celebrating International Women's Day as part of our All Thrills No Frills special programming campaign by bringing you a series of special programs throughout the Month created by, for, and about women!
For 2024's edition of International Women's Day, We'll be broadcasting Women-centered content for a full 40 hours. Kicking off on Thursday, March 7th! Check out the individual specials below!
