Portland metro youth speaking for themselves about issues, with creativity and without adult filtering.

4th Wednesday of every month from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.

The KBOO Youth Collective hosts The Underground dealing with a wide range of issues affecting American youth including music, arts, school, activism, and local events, with humor and creativity.

Here is a list of our past shows with direct links

The Underground first aired on May 22, 2002, and has since covered a wide range of issues affecting American youth, including unconventional schools, leaving for college, punishment, depression and desperation, activism, traveling, food, cabbots, and much much more. We have regular pieces from community groups that we partner with.

We also have a 2 hour youth music show, Youth Randomonium, which is a showcase for Portland's incredible local youth talent. We are on the air the 2nd Friday of each month from 8pm - 10pm. Send us your recordings, and we'll play them!
